December 25th I awoke with the feeling oh being hung over, although I had not had a drop of alcohol the day before, but I did realize that I had not drank my normal 3 liters of water so that was probably the cause.
But it was a lazy morning, I had my customary cup of coffee, and then decided to make cinnamon rolls like my family always eats on Christmas morning in the states. Granted I had to make them from scratch instead of the Pilsbury ones, but it was a great activity to keep me busy. I also washed some clothes since there was sun after a few days of rain, of course as luck would have it though, it started to rain by the time I had finished. Oh how I miss having a washing machine and dryer!
Last night we had a Christmas dinner as a family, which was very nice to sit and share a meal with everyone. It was the second time everyone was sitting around a table eating since I moved in 5 months ago. The first was at the wedding. It is not very customary to sit at a table and share a meal here. Normally, everyone is served a plate and people sit on the couch or in chairs and eat. It's very informal and tends to work well since I make my own meals, this way I don't feel bad for not participating in family meals! Anyway, Christmas was nice, and less painful than I thought. (It can be very hard to be in a foreign country for the holidays.) Here are the last few pictures I want to share... Keep making good choices, only one week left until 2012! Love you all!
